MS. Locke f. 14

A bound volume used by Locke for miscellaneous notes, c. 1659-c. 1667. The date “[16]67” is written inside the front cover and the front flyleaf bears Locke’s signature. The bulk of the notes consist of lists of authors with critical assessments, extracted from various sources which are cited in Locke’s usual manner. An index according to Locke’s method of commonplacing is on pp. 262-263. There is a list of names on reversed pages at the back of the book (pp. 1-6 = 273-269 rev.).
