The study investigated the impacts of participation in 4-H on youhg people's interest and participation in science. Survey data were colleced from ethnically related samples of elementary and high school aged youth in California. Results indicated that elementary grade 4-H members were not more interested in science than other youth, but by high school, 4-H is associated with a greater number of science classes.
