Abstract

Qualitative study to examine the life course of 10 adults who participated as youth in the 4-H International Exchange program. The study explored pathways that led each participant to the experience and how that experience led to other international experiences. Using a grounded theory approach, the data were analyzed through selective , open and axial codings forming a common pathway among participants. Suggested recommendations for international youth exchange programs are provided.
