Abstract

Research conducted at Cornell University evaluated the impact of youth development programming, which includes the Circle of Courage elements. The results of the study showed statistically significant differences in the process of youth development, which is positively influenced in multiple ways by 4-H Club membership when membership includes these key elements: belonging, mastery, independence, and generosity.
