Abstract

A statewide assessment was conducted to determine county agents' perceptions toward key developmental assets in the lives of vulnerable youth and to identify an age group as a primary focus for Extension. Ninety-two percent of the 202 county agents reponding to the rating scale agreed upon the need to focus on both youth leadership and personal values. Ninety-four percent indicated that Extension should place on midle school youth as a high priority for programming. The findings indicate that there is relevance in assessing program efforts that promote positive development among youth.
