Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine if there was a need for additional agricultural courses at San Antonio College. Vocational agricultural students (VAS) and 4-H club members were sampled using a questionnaire to gather information, consisting of 857 students and 63 high school age 4-H club members of Bexar County. Forty-five percent of the VAS and 40 percent of the 4-H members planned to major in an agricultural field after entering college. Seventy-two percent of the VAS and  80 percent of the 4-H members said they did not know that agricultural courses were offered at the college.
