Abstract

The purpose of the study was to measure the effectiveness of the 4-H robotics program. Pre- and posttest scores on an assessment of basic SET concepts between youth, ages 7-11 in the 4-H robotics intervention and similar youth in a control group. The results revealed that youth in the robotics intervention showed a significant increase in mean scores on the posttest, while the control group had no significant pre-post change in scores. The results indicate that educational robotics engage youth in activities that support their learning of SET topics.
