Abstract |
No differences were found in cost or time allocation among those who placed as award winners and those who di not place. Data and participant comments indicated that participants gained some life skills. In addition, more than one-third of the youth involved in these contests were found to mend for their family and friends as part of their 4-H textile and clothing experiences. |
