Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the awareness of Cooperative Extension by a stratified random sample of people residing in Oklahoma. A telephone survey-interview technique was used to gather data from 2,401 residents of Oklahoma 18 years and older; 1,662 residents (62.22 percent), participated in the study in the spring of 1980. Over 78 percent were found to be aware of Cooperative Extension. Slightly over 47% had been involved with the 4-H program. Additional data were gathered related to agriculture and home economics programs.
