Abstract

Ex-post fact evaluation designed to seek impact of life skill development as a result of serving on the 4-H Council in Texas. Members who served from 1987 to 2006 were studied (n=38) and the life skills that were enhanced the most from serving on the council wre: development of oral communication skills, ability to relate to others, working in teams, building self-esteem. Texas 4-H Council was found to be an excellent promoter of youth through various aspects of youth development.
