Abstract

The objective of this study was to make recommendations relative to stimulation and revitalizing attendances at the five Illinois 4-H camps. Fifteen hundred and thirty Illinois 4-H members were sampled. Data were collected to measure cognitive, affective and conative components of the Fishbein behavioral prediction model. Results form the study indicate that definite changes with the 4-H camping program are necessary. A framework and time schedule for a state-wide advertisement campaign should be developed and targeted not only to the 4-H membership, but to parents, friends and 4-H community club leaders.
