This article discussed current librarians' perceptions about digital locks and their influences. Due to existing understanding barriers, the authors came up with several suggestions: 1) Improving understanding of digital locks among library communities; 2) Avoiding purchasing contents with digital locks to expand content accessibility; 3) Identifying methods to work with protected materials; 4) Carefully handling concerns about digital locks.
