Notes | This article identified some considerations during the development of web accessibility policy by comparing legislation disability rights and digital accessibility in five countries. Their findings acknowledged the prominence of WCAG 2.0 standard and pointed out the emerging trend of policy convergence across different countries with respect to web accessibility. However, current policies still put more emphasis on print disability while digital disability needed more extensions in the future, and organizations still experienced difficulty with PDF accessibility, which should be paid attention in future practice. |
