Abstract | Since librarians and information professionals are expected to spend more time on the Internet, due to budgetary and other restriction on travel to conferences, the discussion focuses on the accessibility of Web conferencing systems for people with vision, hearing and mobility handicaps. Reviews some of the typical Web conferencing software features, including: audio; text chat; video; co-browsing Web pages; desktop application sharing; and whiteboard applications. Lists a number of resources for finding information on Web conferencing. |
