Abstract
The University of Calabar Library is set up and organized in such a way that a local area network (LAN) could be developed to take care of library activities. This could be enlarged to include the Computer Centre, the different departments, faculties, institutes and the central administration. It could further be widened to include bibliographic utilities and databases within the city of Calabar and its environs. The Federal Government of Nigeria could go further in developing a National Library Network linking all thirty three universities of the country for maximum utilization of resources.
