Describes an effort to virtually recreate the library of Carthusian monastery at Buxheim, Germany. The library was founded in 1402 and contained one of the largest collections in Europe during the early modern period. The virtual site provides historical catalogs of the holdings of library throughout the centuries, as well as a history and biographies of individuals. |
