Abstract
The lengthy diary of Revd Ebenezer Parkman (1703–82) of Westborough, Massachusetts, provides significant insight into his reading: the range of the books, magazines, and newspapers that he read; his acquisition and disposal of reading material (purchase, gift, trade, loan, sale); and his participation in the print culture of his day through not only his modest publications but also his active participation in efforts to promote the publications of others.
