History, Archives, and Information Science

Extensive review of the literature focusing on the relationship between history, archives and information science.  Trends include: increasing use of archives by historians, more interdisciplinary influences including more use of linguistics and visual materials in historical research; and the growth of electronic archives.  Discusses common concerns across all three fields such as the preservation of print and digital materials.
