A History of Library Services to the Mexican-American and Native American in Arizona

Provides an overview from the 19th century to the present. Concludes that there has been a scarcity of free public library services to Mexican-Americans and Native Americans. Notes that libraries in the state have traditionally reflected the Anglo culture. Mexican-Americans and Native Americans have had minimal access to materials reflective of their heritage or in their native language and their voices have not been included in conversations about library collections and services.
