Examines the history of the Laura Kersey Library of Engineering, Physical Science and Technology in Louisville, Kentucky. It was formed with a merger between the engineering library and the science library in 1983 to support the scientific and technological disciplines of the University of Louisville, Kentucky. A new wing was added in 1989 and despite subsequent financial challenges, the collection grew rapidly. In 2004, closure plans of the library were proposed and on July 21, 2006, the library was closed.
