Describes and reproduces mid 18th century engravings of Edward Harley, 2nd Earl of Oxford and explores what they reveal of the architectural settings of the various parts of the Harleian Library before its dispersal. Examines its various locations in London and in Wimpole Hall, Cambridgeshire, along with their architecture.
