Unrecorded ‘Proposals for Printing by Subscription a Compleat Catalogue of the Publick Library in Sion-College’, issued in 1721, help to reveal the circumstances of publication and the impetus for William Reading’s classified catalogue of the collections of Sion College Library, published in 1724. They also shed light on the relationship between the College and its Library Keeper and between Sion College Library and other libraries. |
