| Abstract |
This prosopographical study investigates the biographical entries in the "Dictionary of American Library Biography" and its "Supplement." The following specific types of information for each individual were analyzed: state of origin; father's occupation; non-library science major; school from which library degree was earned; major place of career employment; birth order; and decade in this century when the person turned fifty. This information provides a basis for establishing a general picture of this important group of library leaders.
