Examines the Wyoming Literary and Library Association (WLLA) as a vehicle for social and cultural enrichment. Founded in the fall of 1870, the association promoted public lectures and bimonthly discussion groups. The WLLA also raised funds to purchase books and magazines which they made available to members for a modest yearly fee.
