The specific objectives of this paper are:
- to explore the diversity of indigenous knowledge systems of indigenous peoples of the Kolli Hills with respect to agroforestry systems;
- to identify the factors forcing indigenous peoples to engage in activities that erode agroforestry systems; and
- to formulate policy interventions for effectively using indigenous knowledge for meeting socioeconomic needs and conserving biodiversity. (author)
