Abstract | This article discusses the economic, social and agricultural uses of "living fences" in the Fond-des-Nègres region, Haiti. These living fences are actually plants that form borders between families and fields. Field work was carried on in the Fond-des-Nègres region during October, 1958, and from January through March, 1959. |
