Abstract
In this paper, Helin looks at the impact refugees make on local forest resources for housing materials and fuelwood needs. Long-term refugee camps have often negatively impacted the environment to the point of desertification. Helin proposes that agroforestry projects be enacted near refugee camps so as to save the local environment from complete devastation.
