The Eat Smart-Being Active curriculum's adherence to Adult Learning Theory and Social Cognitive Theory tenets was determined. Five reviewers assessed initial and revised versions of the curriculum using an assessment tool designed for this purpose. T-tests for differences in mean responses from initial review to follow up and Cronbach's alpha for internal consistency of each tenet were conducted. This curriculum was found to successfully incorporate the tenets of both theories and the content remained true to the dietary guidelines.
