Early citations of Locke’s works
In The reception of Locke’s politics (vol. 1:lxxiii-lxxv), Dr. Mark Goldie included a list of “all explicit references to the Two treatises of government that appeared in English down to 1710.” With Dr. Goldie’s permission, this list has been included as part of the John Locke Bibliography.
It is hoped that additional citations may be discovered. Any such additions reported will be added to the list. Please send such reports to Dr. Goldie or to me (email link below).
If anyone is interested in compiling lists of early citations of any of Locke’s other works, I would be delighted to post them.
