MS. Locke f. 11

Pocket memorandum book, 1649-1666.

Locke wrote from both ends of the book. He entered accounts kept at Westminster School (1649-52, ff. 1-2, 86v-66v rev.) and at Oxford (1652-57, ff. 4-7, 65v-58v rev.). There are also some accounts kept by Locke for his pupils at Christ Church (1661-66; ff. 7v-57); most of these have been crossed through with an x (indicating that the accounts had been settled?).

Small 8o. 127 × 80 mm. 88 leaves. Bound in calf, with some tooling. The covers are stamped “I L” and the number “6” appears on the front pastedown.
