MS. Locke f. 12 (1664-72) Notebooks/Commonplace BooksLocke kept a series of notebooks in which he entered notes on his reading. He generally kept separate notebooks for medical and non-medical notes. The notebooks are organized in various ways; beginning in the late 1650s, he began to employ his New Method for organizing and indexing.
