RN - Born Aleen Wetstein in Pittsburgh (1908-2010), she never finished Ohio State because of the Depression, yet wrote a popular 1930s column, “One Girl Chorus,” for the <em>The Pittsburgh Press</em> for a decade. When she developed <em>A Date with Judy</em>, it became a hit radio show in the 1940s. She married a Pittsburgh lawyer named Jacques Leslie and the two moved to California, where Aleen became one a few female screenwriters for Columbia Pictures. She started by writing <em>Three Stooges</em> scripts. One of her better, funnier screenplays is <em>Father Was a Fullback</em> (1949) starring Fred MacMurray. Aleen Leslie died at her Beverly Hills home just three days short of her 102nd birthday.
