Karen Rose Cercone (1957— ) co-wrote a dozen Star Trek novels under the pseudonym “L. A. Graf,” which stands cleverly for “Let's All Get Rich and Famous.” Cercone, who holds a PhD in geoscience, earns her living as a professor at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She also holds a MFA from the University of Pittsburgh Writing Program. She lives in Trafford, Westmoreland County.
