Abstract |
A political satire disguised as a documentary about the 1990 Pennsylvania race—from Pittsburgh to Altoona—for the United States Senate. Bob Roberts (Tim Robbins) is a charismatic, crusading folk-singer and reactionary millionaire-turned-politician who is trying to unseat the incumbent liberal Democrat, Brickley Paiste (Gore Vidal).
