Abstract |
Ned Wilcox visits the Pennsylvania State Police barracks after his father, Curtis Wilcox, a popular state trooper, dies in a strange auto accident. Curtis’ colleagues begin sharing stories about the mysterious Buick 8, which resembles a 1953 Buick Roadmaster, but has been in a storage shed since 1979. “The Buick seems to be a conduit,” says the book sleeve, “to another reality and every now and then it breathes, inhaling a little bit of this world, exhaling a little bit of whatever world it came from.”
