When a plane crashes and releases a biological weapon into the water supply of Evans City, inept authorities and trigger-happy soldiers cannot help the citizens infected by the virus that was designed by the military to quickly cause insanity or death.

George Romero (1940—2017), born in the Bronx and educated at Carnegie Mellon University, was a filmmaker and pioneer of the horror film genre. Paul McCollough is a composer and cinematographer.
