George Romero’s sequel to Night of the Living Dead (1968). Four people escape a zombie attack in Philadelphia and fly by helicopter to Western Pennsylvania—refueling at the airport near Johnstown—to take up residence in the deserted mall 60 miles north of Pittsburgh, where they fight off more zombies and militant bikers.

George Romero (1940—2017), born in the Bronx and educated at Carnegie Mellon University, was a filmmaker and pioneer of the horror film genre.
