Abstract
Francis (David Conrad) is a wealthy frat boy who hides out regularly in a dumpster at Carnegie Mellon University. Jim (Jeffrey Carpenter) is the maintenance man who discovers and mentors Francis. Their late-night conversations lead to a friendship that breaks down their social class conflicts.

Jim Daniels (1956— ), born in Detroit, is a poet, fiction writer, and screenwriter. He taught creative writing at Carnegie Mellon University for 40 years.
