Abstract |
Follows Sam Emerson, the middle-aged proprietor of Sam’s Place, an upscale Mt. Washington restaurant with stunning views of the Golden Triangle and the three rivers. After his mother dies, Sam is nostalgic and tries to take stock, meditating on memories of youth and family. Sam also ruminates on his ex-wife, his much younger lover, and what to do with his mother’s ashes.
