Abstract | Elizabeth Preston moves her family to a remote cabin in the northwestern Pennsylvania woods to save her husband from his opium addiction. After her husband dies, Elizabeth grows close with John Riverius, a local mill owner, whose life she saved during a snowstorm. When John is framed for murder, Elizabeth must help him escape. |
