Abstract

Robert the Hunter, son of a white woman and the Delaware Indian Tanachrison, joins George Washington's Virginian militia as it tries to win Western Pennsylvania for the Ohio Company. The story follows the young Washington with historical accuracy from ages 16 to 26.

Author Biography

Edwin Legrand Sabin (1870-1952), born and raised in the Midwest, worked as a journalist before switching to children's writing—adventure books mostly about the American West. He died in California. Will Thompson was an illustrator.
