Vanity Fair nicknamed Lee Gutkind (1945— ) “the Godfather” of the creative nonfiction movement. He has written more than a dozen works of nonfiction prose, taught the genre for many years in the University of Pittsburgh Writing Program, and he is the founder and editor of the journal Creative Nonfiction.
