Author Biography |
Joseph Bathanti (1953 — ), a poet and novelist, was born and raised in Pittsburgh. He studied at Pittsburgh Central Catholic High School, California University of Pennsylvania, the University of Pittsburgh, and he earned a MFA at Warren Wilson College. In 2012 he was named the seventh poet laureate of North Carolina. Bathanti teaches creative writing at Appalachian State University.
