Abstract |
Kate Reese flees her abusive ex to fictitious Mill Grove, Pennsylvania. Kate's seven-year-old son, Christopher, struggles with dyslexia and bullies, until he disappears into the woods one day. Stephen Chbosky (1970— ), born and raised in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, is a novelist, screenwriter, and director. He is a 1988 graduate of Upper St. Clair High School who earned a BFA at University of Southern California's Filmic Writing Program.
