Abstract

Ivan Bibic (John Savage), a Yugoslavian-American GI, returns home to Western Pennsylvania after surviving a Japanese POW camp during World War II. He now suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, which compromises his new marriage to his childhood sweetheart, Maria Bosic (Nastassja Kinski).

Author Biography

Marjorie David is a screenwriter. Gerard Brach (1927-2006), born in France, was an actor, director, and writer. Andrey Konchalovskiy (1937— ) was born in Russia, where he worked in theater. He has written more than 30 screenplays. Paul Zindel (1936-2003), born in New York, was playwright and the author of dozens of children's books.
