Leigh Koslow, a newly unemployed copywriter who starts a fledgling ad business, is short on cash. She takes a part-time job at the Pittsburgh Zoo and discovers that the veterinarian is her high school boyfriend, Mike Tanner. When Leigh finds a severed human leg in the tiger run, soon the police learn that the victim is Tanner's ex-lover. Leigh becomes a leading suspect.
