Gregory Spears (1977— ) is a composer who earned degrees at the Eastman School of Music, Yale, and Princeton. Kathryn Walat (1974— ) is a playwright and librettist who was educated at Brown and the Yale School of Drama. She is an associate professor and playwright-in-residence at SUNY Albany.
