Sequel to The Prince Who Gave His Gold Away (1938). This is a collection of short stories for children about the parishioner families of Demetrius Augustine Gallitzin, a missionary priest and Russian aristocrat who converted to Roman Catholicism and formed the first Catholic colony in Western Pennsylvania. Gallitzin is popularly known as the Apostle of the Alleghenies.

Mary Fides Glass (1889-1955) was born in Reade Twp., Cambria County. An accomplished painter, Glass served most of her life as a Sister of Charity of Seton Hill in Greensburg, Westmoreland County.
