John E. [Ernest Thorington] Wright (1894-unknown) was an author. Elisabeth M. [Mellon] Sellars (1903-73), niece of U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Andrew Mellon, edited Birds of Western Pennsylvania (1940). Jeanette C. [Campbell] Shirk (1898-1980) was an artist and author. Alexander [Sharpe] Ross (1908-90), born in Dunfermline, Scotland and educated at Carnegie Technical Institute (now Carnegie Mellon University), was a painter and illustrator. |
