| Abstract |
After Johnny Faro (Viggo Mortensen) dies in a plane crash, his widow, Bessie (Andie McDowell), must unravel the secret life he encoded in his cache of baseball cards and betting slips. The film begins with a flashback to young Johnny catching Bill Mazeroski’s World Series-winning home run in 1960. The film was first released as Ruby Cairo but was re-edited and re-released on home video with the title Deception.
